Silent Art Auction - Stanley Palmer etching

Something special has come into The Garage Sale...

 

We're excited to have received a Stanley Palmer original bamboo engraving titled "Rakitu 192" from 1978.

We're running a two week silent auction that will end Tuesday 26th May at 7pm.

The highest offer over $250 sent to office@lyttelton.net.nz will be the winner. Easy!

So you know a bit about this piece and how the rules work:


This artwork is an etching by the renowned New Zealand artist Stanley Palmer (born 1936), and created in 1978. Stanley has a connection to Whakaraupō and it's community, and it is truly an honor for this to be gifted to us.

  • Artist: The signature on the bottom right is Stanley Palmer, a celebrated figure in New Zealand art known for his unique printmaking techniques and landscape depictions.

  • Title/Series: The centre inscription identifies this as part of the "Rakitu" series (specifically numbered 17/60 from that edition).

  • Earthy brown tones are present in the hillside, and intricate detailing throughout.

  • Dimensions are 20cm W x 28cm H approx.

  • Artwork is offered in its current condition.

  • Highest offer over $250 will be the winner.

  • IF there are two or more identical highest bids, the first of those bids received will be the winner.
