Project Lyttelton strengthens our community by connecting people to share skills in waste, recycling, food, transport, and energy. We aim to inspire action on climate change and build resilience together via events and educational opportunities.

Community Space and home to local events, a healing sanctuary, festival and dance venue, mindful maze and gatherings including some of our other projects:

FRUIT AND VEGETABLE COLLECTIVE

Fresh seasonal local fruit and vegetable box delivered each Wednesday for Lyttelton residents. Only $15 a box, or $7.50 a half box. Collect from 40 Winchester St, Wednesdays.

PLENTY TO SHARE TABLE

The Plenty to Share table is ready to be populated with gatherings from your garden or for you to gather from. It’s still evolving but in a place of abundance and readiness!

The Community Garden is a beautiful green space in our community and is always open to walk through, or take a book and just sit and enjoy, or if you have time, come join us to maintain and share in it's bounty.

LYTTELTON FARMERS MARKET

Whatever the weather, you'll find fresh fruit and vegetables, free range eggs, bread, meat, fish, cheese, juices, herbs and plants at the Lyttelton Farmers Market every Saturday.

LYTTEL SEW'N'SEWS

Want to learn practical sewing skills and help your community and environment?
We repair/up-cycle donated clothing items that might otherwise go to landfill. Everyone welcome – just turn up, tools and materials are provided! Pop-up kids clothing store operating every second Tuesday at 40 Winchester St.

GREAT LITTER HUNT

This social clean-up has become an ongoing event to keep litter off our streets and out of our bays. Keep an eye on Facebook, our newsletters or this site for upcoming hunts.

THE GARAGE SALE

Our community Op Shop run by volunteers, the Garage Sale supports other Project Lyttelton projects, and on Saturdays raises funds for local community groups.

LIFT LIBRARY

The LIFT library is a diverse collection of resources to inform and empower change. Located at the Lyttelton Harbour Information centre it houses over a thousand books. See more for days and times.

TOY LIBRARY

Lyttelton's own Toy Library. Currently operating every second Tuesday 10:30am - 12:30pm with Lyttel Sew'n'Sews as Tamariki Tuesday. Pop in and have a play, grab some bargains on quality kids clothes and sign up on the spot if you like. Why buy when you can borrow.

Lyttelton Emergency Hub - the core group of volunteers is continuing to train to open the ‘pop up Hub’ in the event of a disaster that impacts Lyttelton.
